Matt +AnnieCategory: Party Rentals, Weddings
When my friend Annie approached me about planning her wedding I was ecstatic! It’s not everyday you get to be side-by-side one of your dear friends throughout her ENTIRE wedding process. All I thought about was all the fun we were going to have bringing all of this to life. Annie and Matt are like family to us, have been for years so this really was a special event to be apart of.
With that being said, Annie and I were on the hunt for a Church and Reception location. Deep down Annie knew she always wanted to get married at the Shrine of St. Joseph located in downtown St. Louis. After working some magic and some from her amazing Dad, we made it happen. Oh and what a venue this was, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! With this checked off our list, it was time to locate the reception venue. A lot of research went into several different possibilities that could fit our needs. After much debate we decided on Ces & Judy’s located in Frontenac. This venue was exactly what Annie was looking for. A French country feel upon entrance, known for their amazing food, and location location location! This was the spot! After all this was decided upon it was time to get into the details of a wedding that makes me giddy inside. What will be our theme, which vendors will we chose, decor, invitations, etc.? All the fun things that I know Annie and I really enjoyed. Ill never forget when she said, “You were right Christy, now it is getting fun!” Annie wanted a theme filled with all things french and lace so that is what we went with. Lace, doilies, her wedding colors of pink, white, and blue set the tone for the entire event.
Now it was time to get her invites out and get this party planned. Her invitations were beautiful and brought together the theme of her big day. Invitations were done by Vellum located in Kirkwood who never disappoints. Her bridal shower was a hit as well and filled with all her favorites including handmade invitations and decor by Classy Chic Events.
We decided on some excellent vendors to bring her big day together.
Her amazing vendors included:
- Vellum Paperie-Wedding Invitations
- CC Events-Bridal Shower Invitations
- Greg Lappin Photography
- Pixie Hair Designs
- Jacque Albert-Makeup Artist
- Custom Design Florist
- Helfer’s Bakery
- BBJ Linens
- Rockstar DJ
- Premier Transportation
- The Shrine of St. Joseph
- Ces and Judy’s
Now that the BIG Day was here, it was time to see Annie and Matt off. How lucky they are to have such a wonderful group of family and friends who came from all over the US to attend this beautiful affair. The pre wedding details were filled with a lot of laughs by the bridal party as I had the honor of being apart of it all. Meggan Decker of Pixie Hair designs made everyone just gorgeous. She never disappoints! Jacque of Makeup Artistry rocked it as usual making everyone look fabulous. A very special thank you to Greg Lappin. I have had the honor of working with him over the years and he just does SUCH amazing work as you can see from the pictures captured.
The Shrine of St. Joseph beauty is really jaw dropping. Annie and Matt couldn’t have picked a better church to celebrate their union. And the bride, well she looked STUNNING! The ceremony, the wedding party, the friends and family that attended made for just the perfect celebration for Mr. & Mrs. Eck!
The fabulous wedding was followed by a fun and exciting reception at Ces and Judy’s. Guests were greeted with passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by an amazing dinner. The food did not disappoint! Let’s not forget about the amazing dessert table spread by Helfer’s Bakery. A variety of sweet treats were on display for all the guests to pick and chose from.
The theme of french lace, pink, blues, and whites was carried throughout the decor in the space. Custom Design Florist did a fabulous job on the flowers. The beautiful blue vases were filled with light pink roses and babies breath. Lastly, anyone that knows the bride knows that one of Annie’s all time favorites is a good ole American Bud Light. So as party favors for the guests we had koozies made in honor of Matt & Annie’s wedding day. For those that knows the Eck’s, their circle of friends and family like to have a good time. It was such a special occasion to see so many of their closest friends and family together in one room. Its a rare site and something we will never forget. Annie and Matt, it was an honor to be apart of such a special day and wish you all the best in your marriage!
